Pastor Ross Davidson

Pastor Ross was born and raised in Grandville, MI. He graduated from Taylor University in Upland, IN and earned an M.Div. from Western Theological Seminary in Holland, MI. While in seminary he interned at Servants Community Church and The Other Way ministries on the Westside of Grand Rapids as well as First Church, Grandville. He was called to Heartland Reformed in July 2002.

Ross and his wife Heidi have 4 great children. When he has a few spare moments he enjoys woodworking with hand tools, gardening, and riding bikes with the family.

LaCosta Van Dyk

LaCosta was born and raised in Pella, IA, and Heartland has been her home church since age 6! She graduated from Liberty University with a degree in biblical and theological studies and is currently pursuing an M.Div. through Western Theological Seminary’s distance program. LaCosta has served as Heartland’s secretary since 2018 and as a seminary intern since fall 2019.

LaCosta and her husband Jeremy have 6 spunky, energetic kids. She enjoys books, movies, good food, good coffee, and good conversation.

Lots of Volunteers

Heartland is a small church with lots of volunteers!! Many members use their gifts each week as an important part of our ministry.

What We Believe

Heartland Reformed Church is a Christ-centered congregation rooted in the Reformed tradition. As such, we hold to several Creeds and Confessions.

Along with many Christian Churches around the globe, we hold to three creeds that were written in the first few centuries after Christ's death and resurrection. They are:

The Apostles Creed

The Nicene Creed

The Athanasian Creed

In addition to these Creeds, we hold to four "standards of unity" which explain what Reformed Churches believe. They are:

The Heidelberg Confession

The Belgic Confession

The Canons of Dort

The Belhar Confession
